In the quest to extract more agricultural produce from land that has been farmed for long periods of time we have diverted attention away from the major template that creates productivity: the soil. This is the view of soil advisors Michael Eyres and Ed Scott from Injekta Field Systems based in Adelaide, South Australia. “It seems there has been a tunnel-vision focus on plant genetics and we’ve forgotten the value of the soil,” Mr. Eyres said.
